Jackson Hill Main Street Management Corporation

A Proud Past. On a New Journey.

Jackson Hill Main Street Special Improvement District was created in 2012 to help rebuild the business district in the Bergen Section of Ward F. The sole purpose of our organization is to identify ways to revitalize a clean, safe, and viable business district for the local residents to shop, dine, and enjoy.

The Jackson Hill Main Street Special Improvement District (JHMSSID), parallels Manhattan running south to north along Martin Luther King Drive, reaching east & west as it crosses Communipaw and continues north along Monticello Avenue. The local community of the district has deep roots and is home to a very culturally rich and diverse population.

Our program follows the Main Street, Four-Point Approach of Design, Economic Restructuring, Organization and Promotion. The Four-Point Approach is the foundation for local initiatives to revitalize their districts by leveraging local assets - from cultural or architectural heritage to local enterprises and community pride. Developed by the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the program is supported in our state by New Jersey Main Street.

The goal of the Jackson Hill Main Street Special Improvement District is to reestablish a culture and atmosphere that fosters growth through the education, promotion, and building of community.
