Our business specializes in providing mental and behavioral health services in a loving, compassionate, and non judgmental way to our community and the world, while aiding people to discover their true potential. We offer both in person and tele-health therapy appointments. We also have night and weekend appointments available by request and accept most insurances. Cash rates are also available upon request. McDowell Healing Arts Center specializes in areas of Depression, Anxiety, Anger, Trauma, Grief, Weight Challenges, Lack of Focus, Hyperactivity, Life Transitions/adjustments, sexual assault and family problems.
History
Established in 2015.
McDowell Healing Arts Center (MHAC) was established on October 15, 2015 by Melvin C. McDowell Jr., MSW, LMSW, CFLE. MHAC started out in a small room inside of World Overcomers Church in the city of Saginaw with one Therapist and very few clients. Today MHAC is a multi-location and multi-county agency. MHAC has offices in Saginaw County and Genesee County (Flint, Michigan). MHAC has several Limited and Fully Licensed Therapist. MHAC also is a hub for Bachelor and Master Level interns who have a focus in Social Work, Psychology, and Counseling. MHAC is the Staff Development trainers for the Saginaw County Juvenile Detention Staff and Consultants and has been trainers for multiple school districts and schools, including Saginaw ISD - Head Start.
