We are a non-profit 501c (3) corporation founded in December 2005 to honor those who serve, have served, and our Fallen heroes.  Over the years we have proudly done this through the following ways:

Alabama’s Fallen Heroes – We take our “Faces of the Price of Freedom” display all over the State of Alabama to schools and Veterans Events to ensure that our fallen heroes are never forgotten.  

Blue Star Salute – We schedule an annual Armed Forces Day event to honor Veterans who have served to protect our freedom.  Our 17th Annual Blue Star Salute will be held at the Battleship Memorial Park in Mobile, AL on May 21, 2022.

Deployments – We attend National Guard deployment ceremonies and provide Service Members with a Blue Star Service Banner.   Family members display these in the front windows of their homes to honor the service of their loved ones.

Memorial Services – We attend memorial services for those Alabamians who have fallen during their active-duty military service.

National Veterans Day – We participate in the planning of the National Veterans Day program in Birmingham (National Veterans Day Banquet, Parade, etc.).  We also honor the founder of Veterans Day by participating in the Raymond Weeks Memorial Service in Linn Park.

Joel Adkins Memorial Veterans Assistance Fund - This is the newest mission of the Blue Star Salute Foundation.  A modest fund has been established to provide active military and veterans a helping hand with unforeseen, financial emergencies.  Click on the Donate or Sponsor pull down for more information. 

Wreaths Across America – We lead in the fundraising effort to put live Maine Balsam Wreaths on every grave (8,500) at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo, AL.  We also coordinate the Alabama State House Ceremony where the Governor signs a proclamation naming the third Saturday of December as Wreaths Across America Day.
